Job Summary

A number of individuals are needed to teach courses in the Mechatronics certificate program. These courses are part of a one year Mechatronics Certificate.

Required Qualification

For all courses: Associate’s degree or higher in Automated Systems, Electro-mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology, or related field.

Strong oral communication skills, professional attitude, and a desire to help others succeed in their career goals.

In addition to the above requirements:

a) For PLC Automation Course = a minimum of five (5) years of industrial manufacturing experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting PLCs.

b) For Electrical Systems Course = a minimum of five (5) years of industrial manufacturing experience in installing and troubleshooting AC/DC systems and motor controls.

c) For Systems-Level Automation Course = a minimum of five (5) years of industrial manufacturing experience troubleshooting and repairing automated systems that incorporate PLCs.

Desired Qualifications

Teaching/training experience.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

This posting will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates. As teaching needs arise, applications will be reviewed for possible interviews. The number of adjunct faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Adjunct faculty hires and assignments are coordinated by the department chairs.
