Job Summary

This dual credit position is to start a new HET program at the Lake County High Schools Technology Campus.

Required Qualification

1) For all HET courses – Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education Technology including an Associate Degree in Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning with a minimum of three (3) years current work experience in one (1) of those fields;

OR

A Bachelor of Science in Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology with H.V.A.C. major and
three (3) years work experience in the heating, air conditioning or refrigeration fields;

OR

An Associate of Applied Science in Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning with A.R.I./A.S.H.R.A.S./A.C.C./ Certification and five (5) years current work experience in H.V.A.C. or refrigeration.

2) For HET 290 and HET 294 – Meet the minimum qualifications for all other HET courses stated above OR An Associate of Applied Science in Construction Management or related field AND five (5) years of experience as a general contractor, construction, or other related area.

3) For HET 292 – Meet the minimum qualifications for all other HET courses stated above OR An Associate of Applied Science in Construction Management or related field AND five (5) years of experience as a general contractor, construction, or other related area AND RESNET exam preparation course OR Building Performance Institute course.

Desired Qualifications

1) Completion of an apprenticeship program in the HVAC/R Trades.

2) Certification in NATE, RSES, HVAC Excellence, or ICE is desired.

3) Bachelor’s degree

4) College or High School teaching experience
