Job Summary

This person will assist with day to day operations of the front desk area in the Center for International Education
Meet and greet students, faculty, staff and guests of the Center
Create a warm and welcoming environment
General office duties such as typing, data entry, creating posters/flyers, making copies, and scanning
Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries
Securely maintain accurate and confidential student documents
Input data and maintain student database
Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings/appointments
Keeping the reception area tidy
Participate in activities/events taking place in the Center
Other duties that support the office

Required Qualification

-Must be a CLC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit
-Attach an availability schedule with application
-Professional and friendly demeanor
-Excellent communication skills
-Comfortable being on the phone
-Problem solver
-High energy level
-Good typing skills

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Facebook, and other social media outlets. This person needs to have the knowledge/skills to work with a diverse background of students from all over the world, understand and respect other cultures, speaks another language or has experience with working with a diverse group of students.
