Job Summary

The IT Support Coordinator – Media Services is responsible for planning, design, and support of the College’s Audio/Visual initiatives in collaboration with internal team members, various College departments, and third-party vendors as needed. These areas include: classroom technology, special events, live streaming, digital signage and other emerging technologies. This position provides overall technical leadership for these areas including but not limited to: evaluation, integration, program development, inventory, licensing, promotion, purchasing, scheduling, regulatory compliance and support. Additionally, this position is responsible for supervising the Media Services Specialists ensuring satisfactory delivery of services throughout the College community.

Required Qualification

Associate Degree with four years audio visual support experience.

Minimum five (5) years experience in commercial audio/visual controls systems, signal processors, and integration/design/programming.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be proficient in audio/visual systems and ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others. Strong project management, problem solving, and decision making skills. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and multi-task. Ability to communicate effectively with varying levels of staff and external customers. Proven ability to work effectively with individuals and teams from diverse backgrounds and professional responsibilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage and maintain confidential data. Ability to handle all situations with tact, persuasiveness, and diplomacy. Solid analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work. Ability to influence, lead, motivate, and develop staff.

Ability to sit, walk, and stand continuously. Frequently lifting and carrying (0-50 lbs) and pushing (0-300 lbs). Ability to occasionally bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, lift and carry (over 50 lbs).

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, audio visual engineering, information technology or related field preferred.

Master’s Degree in Educational Technology or related field preferred.

Familiarity with Crestron, FSR, AMX or Extron equipment, Windows Server software, and/or video editing/streaming preferred. Previous experience working in a higher education setting along with supervising staff preferred.

InfoComm CTS Certification (Certified Technology Specialist) preferred.
