Job Summary

Adjunct Faculty needed to propose and instruct professional development training programs to corporate clients and career professionals in a variety of subject areas including Leadership and Supervisory skills, Supply Chain Management, Computer Hardware and Software, Communication and Presentation Skills, Information Technology, Real Estate, Healthcare, etc.

Required Qualification

Two to five years of experience teaching adults in an educational or corporate training environment.

Experience teaching adult learners of diverse backgrounds.

Ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in instructional design and curriculum development in educational and/or professional settings.
Experience training at a corporate level.
Current licensing or certification if required to teach in the assigned subject area.
Ability to provide transportation to the teaching sites on campus or at a corporate setting.

Special Instructions Summary

Applicant may be asked to provide a teaching demonstration in the area of expertise.

This posting will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates. As teaching needs arise, applications will be reviewed for possible interviews. The number of adjunct faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Adjunct faculty hires and assignments are coordinated by the department chairs.
